Fashion week is known for the innovative designs and the wonderful amount of new and modern ideas. Milan can be also known for the various styles that are indigenous to the city. Of Milan out of other cities such as Paris, London and New York just to name a few. It is one of the top cities in the world that debut a line that only the A-list and most important are worthy to see.
Many new fashion trends appeared in fashion week in Milan. The trend that really caught my eye was the reappearance of the outrageously high heel. As witnessed in the video on style.com, “Milan: Highlights: Spring 2009”many of the top designers are starting to use sky high heels in order to further their outfits design.
On the actual clothing, many of the designers started to use more structured fabric. The designers used geometric fabrics that caused the clothes to have a bold design. For example some of Versace designs had a lot of very sharp lines and not as much flow. Although some designers took a more stiff approach, other designers used more romantic fabric that really accented the everyday woman’s’ curves.
